...
Docker now reserves alias specfically for user-defined aliases, and uses another field, dnsnames, to hold all aliases, including container ID and name.
Part of docker v1.45 compat work, but this touches the cli too, since they updated it there too.

Add a rule to state new contributors should open a maximum of 2 PRs to
avoid overloading us maintainers. The first PRs often miss some details
and then the reviewers have to tell that person to fix that on all PRs
several times.
Then update the stale links to the new github org.
Lastly tweak some minor wording about who reviews and merges and remove
the team pings because they do not work for external people. Only
people part of the org can ping teams and just refer to our generic
communication channels.

The echo and ls were added to help debug #7580 , which was closed in
November 2020. The readlink check right below them is the actual
assertion and it prints the pid on failure anyway.

test/system: drop the metacopy instrumentation

The comment asks for this to be removed once #15488 is fixed. That was
closed in December 2022. I grepped four recent system test job logs and
the warning does not appear in any of them.
It sits in run_podman so it ran on every podman call, and it writes to
fd 3 which means the output shows up even when the test passes.

libpod: unset network state in reloadContainerNetwork

Ensure we set the network status to nil after the teardown and save it
to the db. This is needed on network reload as the setup reads the
existing status for the pesto forwarding logic.

Skip pesto IPv6 forwarding tests pending pasta release

libpod: use %w instead of %v in fmt.Errorf calls
...
Errors returned in the healthcheck timer path and events inspect data were formatted with %v, discarding the error chain. Replaced with %w so callers can use errors.Is/errors.As to inspect the underlying causes.

docs: clarify --transient-store behavior with volumes
...
Document that only the Podman database is transient, not volume data on
disk. After a reboot, volumes created under --transient-store lose their
database entries but the underlying data persists and can be reused.
Mention podman system prune --external for cleaning up orphaned volume
data, and note that it should be used consistently across all commands.
