fix(mac): build installer from source
...
The installer did not work on downlevel versions
of macOS as the compile in Script Editor produced
a 10.15-compatible version. Now we build the app
directly from source with osacompile and bundle
that instead.

#2640 fixed the FirstVoices OEM app from crashing on Android 5.0 devices.
This applies the same fix (updating to `androidx.appcompat:appcompat:1.2.0-alpha02`) for all the other Android apps.
* Also fix up history.md entries

refactor(mac): initial steps of input pathway
...
The handleEvent function has somewhat convoluted logic around emitting
the final transform to the client application. This starts to refactor
that code to move all client interaction to a single point at the end
of the event sequence.
Next phase will be to update delete and insert events to turn them into
a single action where possible.
