This allows users to set the associated machine's system connection to the system default when running `podman machine init --now` or `podman machine start`. It also changes the default bbehavior of these commands in that the user will be prompted and asked if they would like to switch the system connection. It also introduces a command line switch called `--update-connection`. If the switch is unset, then the user will be prmpted. If the command value is explicitly set to `false`, the user will not be prompted and the system connection will not be altered. If the value is set to `true`, the system connection will be made the default and the user will not be prompted.

A condition was changed in the refgactor of init where duplicate names would be allowed but no machine was created. Duplicate names are not permitted and should return an error.

Add the ability for users to override the default provider when creating mahcines. The new flag is `--provider` and allows you to specifiy a valid vmtype for the platform. This PR also removes the previous list test where we tested listing all providers. I added a PR for testing --provider which includes a standard `machine ls` which defaults now to showing all providers.

For Podman 6, we still have providers and will continue to have a default provider for each platform. But where a platform has multiple providers, we want users to be able to cross provider boudnaries imposed in Podman 4/5. The key change is to look up virtual machines by name, as before, but to then also iterate all possible providers. As of this PR, init will still only create with the default provider, but a subsequent PR will introdouce an provider override.
I also removed the "--all-providers" command line option on `podman
machine ls` because it no longer makes sense. And I marked the all
provider list test to be skipped.

This patch adds a new --tls-verify flag to the `podman machine init`
sub command which matches many of our other commands. This allows the
user to optionally control whether TLS verification is enabled or
disabled for download of the machine image.
The default remains to leave the TLS verification decision to the
backend library which defaults to enabling it, this patch just
allows the user to explicitly set it on the CLI.

this patch changes how the detection of wsl works.
The old way of using wsl --status command output to detect some missing features required by WSL is not fully reliable.
WSL checks if the wsl feature is enabled and if the vmcompute service do exist. However, this is not enough to identify if the virtual machine platform feature is enabled. The vmcompute service could exist because it has been installed by other tools or it could exist but being stopped.
The way proposed by this patch is to try execute the import command and,
if it fails, check the error and if it is related to the Host Compute
Service try to install all features required by WSL.
The flow is the same as before, the user is asked to execute the podman
machine init command with elevated privileges. Eventually, after
enabling WSL and VMP features, the user is asked to reboot the machine.
When the machine restarts, the powershell gets invoked again and execute
the command init.
The code also fixes some issues that could cause misbehaviors when
invoking recursively the elevated shell, like an unreleased lock, or a
missing file.

Add `--swap` argument to `podman machine init` command.
Passing an int64 value to this flag will trigger the Podman machine
ignition file to be generated with a zram-generator.conf file containing
the --swap value as the zram-size argument.
This file is read by the zram-generator systemd service on boot
resulting in a zram swap device being created.

When trying to initialize a machine with more memory that the system has
we were outputting an error message in the wrong unit. It should have
been in MB and B. This was found as part of #25803 but is not the
solution for that issue.

First make sure we check that a given VM exist when holding the VM lock
for it. The check in cmd/podman/machine/init.go is a nice quick out but
not enough to ensure that 2 processes to not create the same VM at the
same time. The only way to ensure this is by holding the lock and
checking if the VM config file exists.

For podman machine init, deprecate the --image-path option for --image.
--image now accepts the correct image from containers.conf
Also, add the ability to specify an OCI image from the --image flag using the docker:// transport.

Validate the names with our name regex that we also use for
containers/pods. While we technically do not need to be that strict, I
think it makes sense to match containers. The most important bit of this
validation is that we exclude the use of / and \ which breaks all our
file paths as we just use this in the name an when machine write the
file it ends up being in a subdir which breaks the reading side. Also
other special characters could cause trouble for the URL parsing in the
machine connection URL.

The intial refactor used specifically qemu for testing and infra bring
up. But the whole point was to have things interfaced. This PR results
in an interface experience like podman 4 using the same term `provider`
to generically represent 'a provider' like qemu/applehv/etc.
This PR is required to move forward with new providers.
Also renamed pkg/machine/p5 to pkg/machine/shim.

The following PR is the leading PR for refactoring podman machine with
the following goals:
* less duplication/more re-use
* common configuration file between providers
* more consistentency in how machines are handled by providers
The goal of this PR is the rough refactor. There are still rough spots
for sure, specifically around the podman socket and pipe. This
implemention is only for Linux. All other providers are still present
but will not compile or work. This is why tests for them have been
temporarily suspended.
The ready socket code is another area that needs to be smoothed over.
Right now, the ready socket code is still in QEMU. Preferably it would
be moved to a generic spot where all three approaches to readiness
socket use can be defined.
It should also be noted:
* all machine related tests pass.
* make validate for Linux passes
* Apple QEMU was largely removed
* More code pruning is possible; will become clearer when other
providers are complete.
the dir pkg/machine/p5 is not permanent. i had to seperate this from
machine initially due to circular import problems. i think when all
providers are done (or nearly done), it can be placed and named
properly.

this is a logical place to get changes upstream before they grow out of
control. this pr is the first in an effort to deduplicate machine code
and streamline code flow.
a lot of code is simply moved to eliminate circular imports. names and
specific paths can ultimately be changed. i dont like some of the
descriptive interface names, etc. ultimately, i think once we have the
"old" code sanitized, we can re-use some of those.
clearly some of what is in here is temporary and will either be deleted,
changed, or moved again as this effort comes to a close.
right now, the machine code does not use any of the "new" code. you
will see in `init` and `rm` some commented out code that hooks it. i'm
afraid things will get worse before they get better (way worse).

We now no longer write containers.conf, instead system connections and
farms are written to a new file called podman-connections.conf.
This is a major rework and I had to change a lot of things to get this
to compile again with my c/common changes.
It is a breaking change for users as connections/farms added before this
commit can now no longer be removed or modified directly. However because
the logic keeps reading from containers.conf the old connections can
still be used to connect to a remote host.

Moves all of the ignitionfiles out of the `machine` package and into
its own called `ignition`. This required `VMType` to get moved out of
the `machine` package and into the `define` package in order to prevent
a circular dependency.

florent found a bug where he used "applehv" as a machine name. it turns out when we use a vmtype name, esp. the active type, it really messes up directory structures for configuration and images alike.

QEMU usb-host driver which is the one for passthrough, supports two
options for selecting an USB devices in the host to provide it to the
VM:
- Bus and Device number the device is plugged
- Vendor and Product information of the USB devices

This commit allows a user to configure podman machine with either of
options, with new --usb command line option for podman machine init.
Examples
podman machine init tosovm4 --usb vendor=13d3,product=5406
podman machine init tosovm3 --usb bus=1,devnum=4 --usb bus=1,devnum=3
This commit also allows a user to change the USBs configured with
--usb command line option for podman machine set.
Note that this commit does not handle host device permissions nor
verify that the USB devices exists.

this pr has the basic plumbing that allows the e2e machine tests to run
with the hyperv provider.
it requires a special fcos image right now because gvforwarder was not
in the upstream fcos images for hyperv.
changed the way "provider" is set; moved GetProvider functions to
pkg/machine/provider. provider is now set at the machine level.

GetSystemDefaultProvider reworked to fetch provider value from
the config file.
Additional environment variable CONTAINERS_MACHINE_PROVIDER is
supported to override the config for testing purposes.

Use `Default()` instead of re-loading containers.conf.
Also rework how the containers.conf objects are handled for parsing the
CLI. Previously, we were conflating "loading the defaults" with
"storing values from the CLI" with "libpod may further change fields"
which ultimately led to various bugs and test failues.
To address the issue, separate the defaults from the values from the CLI
and properly name the fields to make the semantics less ambiguous.

Podman Machine crashes if run as root. When creating the machine, we write the ignition so that the UID of the core user matches the UID of the user on the host. We by default, create the root user on the machine with UID 0. If the user on the host is root, the core UID and the Root UID collide, causing a the VM not to boot.

podman machine start contains more logic than just the simple vm.Start()
call. Instead of duplicating this into inti we just call start().
